ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത് സസ്യഭുക്കായിട്ടു തന്നെആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകള്‍ക്കു മാത്രമല്ല,ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സര്‍വ്വജീവികള്‍ക്കും അവയുടെ വായ് കീറിയ ദൈവം തീറ്റയും പ്രകൃതിയില്‍ തന്നെ നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്മ.നുഷ്യരുട. ഭക്ഷണം പ്രകൃതിയില്‍ തന്നെ കിട്ടുന്ന കായകനികള്‍,പച്ച്ക്കറികള്‍,ഫലമൂലാദികല്‍,എണ്ണക്കുരുക്കള്‍,അണ്ടിപ്പരിപ്പുകള്‍ എന്നിവയാണ്‌,പക്ഷികളുടെ മുട്ടകളേയും വേണമെങ്കില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്താം.സസ്യഭുക്കായ കുരങ്ങനില്‍ നിന്നു പരിണമിച്ച മനുഷയ്ന്‍ എങ്ങനെ മാംസഭുക്കാവും?പല്ലിന്റെ വലിപ്പം,താടിയുടെ വലിപ്പം,ചലനം,നാവിന്റെ നീളം,കൈപ്പത്തിയുടെ വലിപ്പം,ആഹാരം ചവച്ചു തിന്നുന്ന രീതി ഇവയൊക്കെ പരിശോധിച്ചാല്‍, മനുഷ്യന്‍ ശുദ്ധ സസ്യഭുക്കു തന്നെ.മാംസഭുക്കുകളായ ജന്തുക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌ ആയുധം കൂടാതെ ഇരയെ കൊന്നു തിന്നാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നു.മനുഷ്യനാകട്ടെ,അമ്പും വില്ലുമോ തോക്കൊ പിന്നെ വെട്ടുകത്തിയോ ഒക്കെ വേണം മാംസം കിട്ടാന്‍.പിന്നെ വേവിച്ച് ഉപ്പം മുളകും മസാലയും ഒക്കെ ചേര്‍ക്കണം.മാംസഭുക്കകളായ ജന്തുക്കള്‍ പല്ലും നഖവും ഉപയോഗിച്ചു ഇരകളെ കടിച്ചു കീറി പച്ചയ്ക്കങ്ങു തിന്നും .മാംസഭുക്കുകളായ ം ജീവികളുടേ താടി എല്ലുകള്‍ മുകളിലോട്ടും താഴോട്ടും ചലിയ്ക്കും.തിന്നുന്നതിനിടയില്‍ അവ താടി തുറയ്ക്കയും അടയ്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും.മനുഷ്യര്‍ താടി അടച്ചു വച്ചാണു കഴിക്കുക.പുലി,കടുവാ എന്നിവ ഇരയുടെ തല ആദ്യം വായ്ക്കുള്ളിലാക്കി കടിച്ചു മുറിയ്ക്കുന്നു.അത്തരം രീതിയൊന്നും മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കില്ല.മാസഭുക്കുകളുടെ കുടലിനു നീളം കുറവാണ്‌.സസ്യഭുക്കുകള്‍ക്കാകട്ടെ, ശരീര നീളത്തിന്റെ നിരവ്ധി മടങ്ങു നീളം കാണും കുടലുകള്‍ക്ക്.സസ്യഭുക്കുകളാകട്ടെ ചുണ്ട് കൊണ്ടു വെള്ളം കുടിയ്ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മാംസഭുക്കുകള്‍ നാക്കു കൊണ്ടാണ്‌ വെള്ളം കുടിയ്ക്കുന്നത്.അവയുടെ നാക്കിനു നീളം കൂടും,കട്ടിയും.മനുഷ്യരുടെ വിരലുകള്‍,പല്ല്‌,താടി,നഖം എന്നിവ പരിശോധിച്ചാല്‍ ദൈവം നമ്മെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത് സസ്യഭുക്കായിട്ടാണെന്നു കാണാം.മാംസഭുക്കുകളുടെ ഉമിനീരിന്‌ അംമ്ല സ്വഭാവം ആണ്‌.മാംസം ദഹിക്കാന്‍ അമ്ലം വേണം.സസ്യഭുക്കുകള്‍ കഴിക്കുന്ന അന്നജത്തെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കാ ന്‍ക്ഷാരസ്വഭാവമുള്ള ഉമിനീരാണു ദൈവം മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കു നല്‍കുന്നത്.മനുഷ്യനു്‌ ഇറച്ചി തിന്നാല്‍ ദഹിക്കാന്‍ മദ്യം കൂടി കുടിയ്ക്കണം.മലയാളിയുടെകൂടിക്കൂടി വരുന്ന മാംസദാഹം മദ്യാസക്തി കൂടാനും കാരണമാകുന്നു.ആമാശയ രോഗങ്ങള്‍ കൂടുതലായി കാണുന്നത് മാംസം കഴിക്കുന്നവരുലും മദ്യം കഴിക്കുന്നവരിലുമാണ്‌.മാംസഭുക്കുകള്‍ പകലുറങ്ങി രാത്ര്യില്‍ ഇരതേടും.അവര്‍ അലസായിരിക്കും.രാത്രി കാഴച ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും.പകല്‍ ഇരതേടുന്ന മനുഷയര്‍ക്കു രാത്രി കാഴ്ച ദൈവം തന്നിട്ടില്ല.മാംസഭുക്കുകളുടെ കരളിനും വൃക്കകള്‍ക്കും വലിപ്പം കൂടും.മാംസഭുക്കുകളുടെ വിയര്‍പ്പിനു ദുര്‍ഗ്ഗദ്ധം ഉണ്ടാവും.മാംസഭുക്കുകളായ ജന്തുക്കള്‍ക്കുയര്‍ന്ന താപനിലയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല. വ തണുപ്പുള്ള സ്ഥലം നോക്കി വിശ്രമിക്കും.മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കേതൂഷ്മാവിലും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നത് സസ്യഭുക്കായതിനാലണ്‌

Farm Innovator BY SOPAN JOSHI At the age of 60, Subhash Palekar is on the road 25 days every month, holding camps across India on natural farming. The agriculture scientist-turned-farmer from Amravati in Maharashtra has held about 2,000 camps since 1988. His impact? “About 40 lakh people practice natural farming in some form or the other,” he says. His network is staggering, more so when you realise that he has no organisational support. One of his sons accompanies him, while the other handles the farm back home. (Amol, 35, was a botany professor before he quit his job to help his father; Amit, 30, was a mechanical engineer.) His daughters-in-law attend to the six phones that don’t stop ringing in the house; farmers from far and wide call on this helpline. Palekar has 31 books on his ideas, and all of them sell cheap so that poor farmers can afford them. “It is difficult to hold farmers’ attention for a few hours. Palekar keeps them captivated for three days,” says a farmer who is dying to get Palekar’s time for a camp. So, why is he so popular? “I talk about what they need: lower costs, profitability, assured returns and markets,” says Palekar. The campaign has met with considerable success in that, millions of individuals send their pledges to the Sadhu Vaswani Mission to go meatless on this day. Four state governments in India - Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh - have issued instructions for the closure of slaughter-houses as well as butchers' shops on 25th November every year, in their respective states. In order to create an awareness in the minds of citizens about the Meatless Day campaign, Peace Marches are held in Pune and other cities in November, every year. Thousands of students from city schools and colleges march through the streets propagating the idea of Meatless Day and reverence for all life, as the first step to World Peace. Meatless day Newsletters are also issued between August and November every year to propagate vegetarianism and the Meatless Day.

Friends of Coconut TreeCoconut Tree climbers are a rarity these days in Kerala and other coconut growing states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra and Goa, with very few taking on the traditional profession. Coconut climbers are a very vital link in the production chain. The consistent supply of raw nuts for the market as well as for the processing sector can be ensured only by strict adherence to the regular harvesting schedule. In many areas, farmers are forced to seek help from migrant labourers, who charge exorbitant amounts, despite not being familiar with the art of coconut climbing. 'The scarcity of labour disrupts harvesting cycles thus causing loss of income to the growers. As against the general norm of harvesting cycles of 45-60 days, farmers are currently able to harvest only once in three to four months. Though the Coconut Development Board is training unemployed youth in palm climbing, there is a reluctance to enter this field because of the occupational risk and the arduous labour involved in climbing tall coconut trees. In the recent past there has been an array of coconut palm climbing devices developed by individuals, Research Institutions, Universities and NGO’s , which are claimed to be safe and easy to operate. But in spite of all the efforts taken in the recent past, there is still an acute shortage of trained coconut palm climbers for harvesting and plant protection activities. With a serious view to tackle this problem, the Board would be conducting a massive training program to train about 5000 underemployed youth in developing special skills and confidence in coconut palm climbing and plant protection activities for the benefit of the coconut community as a whole.Objective:To develop a professional group of youth under the banner of “Friends of Coconut Tree” for harvesting and plant protection operations in coconutTo impart training to a group of unemployed youth in developing technical skills, entrepreneurship capacity, leadership qualities and communication skills to address the needs of the coconut growers. To make them self reliant and instill confidence in undertaking the responsibility of “Friends of Coconut Tree”.To tackle the problem of unavailability of coconut tree climbers for coconut farming and plant protection activitiesGenerate appropriate technologies to support sustainable growth of coconut sector and generate employment opportunities for the youthMode of implementation:It is proposed to identify, train and handhold at least 5000 underemployed youth under the “Friends of Coconut Tree” covering 10 major coconut growing districts of the state of Kerala. The identification of youth can be carried out through Kudumbashree units under the concerned local bodies, Kera karshaka samithis, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, clusters, Coconut Producers societies (CPS), youth clubs under Nehru Yuva Kendras, Vikas Vahini Volunteer clubs of NABARD(VVV), Primary Agricultural Societies, Coconut Growers Cooperatives, NGOs and Self Help Groups of NGOs.Criteria for selection: • Age group of 18-40 yrs • Preferably underemployed healthy individuals • Free from any disability • Minimum education up to seventh standard • Minimum of 30% of trainees to be women The training will be conducted in batches of a minimum of 20 for a week (6 days). Pepper, or peppercorns, are the fruit of the vine Piper niger, which grows to a height of about 10-12 metres on a host tree, usually Murukku (the Malayan name for Erythrinia indica) or Silver Oak (Greville robusta). The varieties most widely grown are Karimunda and Panniyur, selected from numerous others for their flavour and quality. The pepper offered here is a mixture of these two.Each pepper vine requires about 10kg organic manure each year, which it receives in the form of cattle manure (water buffalo and cow), compost and green leaves. We all think eating fruit means just buying fruit, cutting it up and
popping it into our mouths. It's not that easy. It's important to know
how and when to eat fruit.
�
What's the correct way to eat fruit?
�
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUIT AFTER A MEAL! FRUIT SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
�
Eating fruit like that plays a major role in detoxifying your system,
supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other
life activities..
�
FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
Let's say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The
slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the
intestines, but it's prevented from doing so.
�
In the meantime, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid.
The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

Eat your fruit on an empty stomach, or before your meal! You've heard people complain: Every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc. This will not happen if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. Fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas.
Hence, you bloat!

There's no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are
acidic, because all fruit becomes alkaline in our body, according to
Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have
mastered the correct way of eating fruit, you have the Secret of
Beauty, Longevity, Health, Energy, Happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT
from the cans. Don't drink juice that has been heated. Don't eat
cooked fruit; you don't get the nutrients at all. You get only the
taste... Cooking destroys all of the vitamins.

Eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should
drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you
must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer!
Can u believe this? For those who like to drink cold water, this
applies to you. It's nice to have a cold drink after a meal, however,
the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you've just consumed,
which slows digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will
break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid
food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats
and lead to cancer.. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after
a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks.
HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE
Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they're asleep do not wake up.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Be careful, and be aware. The more we know, the better our chance to survive.

Group Marketing

The Council has developed a unique group marketing concept which is production center oriented and farmer participatory. A group of 7 to 15 neighbouring SHGs will constitute a Field Centre (FC) wherein the SHG farmers bring their produce to a common place for marketing. Traders are coming to the Field Centers and this will increase the bargaining power of the farmers. To give additional support for bargaining the VFPCK Market Information Centre (MIC) make available the daily market prices of banana and all other vegetables collected from different markets in Kerala and even outside. VFPCK provides account books and platform weighing scale to Field Centers initially. After evaluating the performance at different stages FCs are elevated to Swasraya Karshaka Samithis (SKS) and are provided with various other supports like additional platform weighing scale, furniture, telephone, major expense reimbursement for a year, land and building. Some of these markets have achieved an annual turnover of more than one crore.

Participatory Credit
The credit package of VFPCK is unique and has given due importance for easy access, sufficient and timely credit to farmers. This innovative credit package was designed in such a manner so as to extend credit support to leased land farmers too. A MoU was signed between VFPCK and 11 banks in the state for disbursement of credit to farmers. The SHG assess the credit worthiness and credit requirements of its members through a participatory credit planning session.

Many people think that the color of the flour has nothing to do with nutritional value. Others also think that something such as flour couldn't possible hurt you. Unfortunately, the color of the flour does determine its nutritional value and some flour can have adverse health effects.
White flour is created by removing the bran and germ from the wheat, which contains 76% of the products vitamins and minerals. In removing these parts, 97% of fiber is also lost. At this point, the product only holds less nutritional value, but it doesn't stop there.
Once this has taken place, there are many things that are added such as chlorine dioxide, potassium bromated, emulsifiers, ammonium carbonate, alum, chalk, alloxen and sorbitan mono-saturate.

Of course, all the nutrients and mineral have been removed from the flour, so some has to be added in, making it enriched. But these vitamins and minerals are synthetic. Even though the vitamins are added back in, they are still not the same and not as healthy for you.
Most of the chemicals that are added into white bread, or white flour, are not healthy and can be potentially deadly and harmful to the human body. Many people don't know that potassium bromated is a carcinogen, a cancer causing source.

Alloxen, one of the chemicals that are added to white flour to make it look clean to the consumer, destroys beta cells that are located in the pancreas. This chemical is often given to laboratory rats to induce diabetes. Even though the connection between alloxen and type 2 diabetes has been founded, the FDA still allows for its use.
Also, items such as emulsifiers that are used in bread are used to deceive. It makes the bread appear softer and hides the real age of the bread. These emulsifiers don't prevent bread from rotting, just hides the signs so you do not know whether or not you are in fact eating bread that is still "good."

Unfortunately, the only thing that white flour is good for is the manufacturer. Making products more appealing to the public increases the chances of purchase and therefore increasing profits, whether or not it is actually healthy for you.
There are many products on the shelf that claim that they are whole wheat or whole grain, but they in fact only contains some whole wheat or whole grain products. Because they use it they can claim it, even if the main ingredient is enriched white flour. Read the ingredients to be sure that you are getting what they are claiming.
You don't have to be subject to marketing techniques if you simply read packaging. Make sure that what you are buying is in fact "whole" grain or wheat and you will be on your way to eating healthier, and living better.
